Federal Government Provisions Applicable to Certain Staples Vendors:

  1. Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Protection for Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities. Staples and Vendor shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-300.5(a) and 41 CFR 60-741.5(a).  Vendor agrees, to the extent applicable, to comply with Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended, and the implementing regulations for each found at 41 CFR Part 60. These regulations prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals on the basis race, gender, veteran status and disability respectively, and require affirmative action by covered prime contractors and subcontractors to employ and advance in employment qualified protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities. Staples incorporates into its agreement with Vendor, as applicable, the Equal Opportunity clauses found at 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-741.5(a), and 60-300.5(a), and Vendor will likewise incorporate the clauses into all applicable subcontracts as required by 41 CFR 60-1.4(d).
